Urban D (Tommy Kyllonen)
Tommy Kyllonen (aka Urban D.) has recorded 6 hip-hop albums and 4 remix projects and done countless guest appearances throughout his music career.
His 4 most recent albums were nationally distributed, with his latest "Un.orthodox" coming out through EMI. At the same time he also authored the book "Un.orthodox" which was released through Zondervan Publishing.
Urban D. is more than just an artist he is also the lead pastor at Crossover Church (www.crossoverchurch.org) in Tampa, Florida. The church is focused on reaching people influenced by urban and hip-hop culture. Under his leadership the church has seen incredible growth and been featured in USA Today, CBS News, Newsweek and several local media outlets. Outreach Magazine listed them as one of the Most Innovative churches in America. The church is currently preparing to move into their new 43,000 square foot facility.
Tommy also founded the annual "Flavor Fest" Conference which is hosted at Crossover each fall. The event has trained close to 2,000 leaders and become the icon event in the Christian Hip-Hop Community since it's inception in the year 2000. Tommy also publishes The S.O.U.LMAG magazine (www.thesoulmag.com). S.O.U.LMAG has published 16 issues and become the voice of the Christian Hip-Hop Community in print.
Urban D. mentors several artists at his church as it has become a breeding ground for those wanting to impact the culture through the arts. He is excited to partner with Secret anthem as helping artists go to the next level is his heart beat.
